. . . and check your mailboxes. An invitation to exhibit at Council 2011 was mailed on Saturday, December 4, 2010 to all previous and potential Exhibitors. This is the “year of the exhibits” as 36 premium booths line the spacious, soaring corridors leading to the business session. Thirty (30) more booths will reside in the Spring Lake Ballroom, adjacent to Corridor A. The hospitality area will be positioned at the back of the ballroom to insure a steady flow of attendees past these exhibits. After all, who can resist our tradition of free cookies and coffee? Online exhibitor registration will open Monday, December 13, 2010 at 6:00 am. For complete details visit our Exhibits page at http://council-dwtx.org.
Council is official. The 2011 Delegate Count, Certification of Election form and letter from the Diocesan Secretary, the Rev. David Read was mailed November 17 and is now online. David Read specifically encouraged you to store and save his letter and attachments. Now that you’ve done that, but can’t remember where they are, we have a solution. The Certification page of the website contains a copy of his mailing for download. Also available is a Certification of Election form you can complete online (so we can all read it), save and print for signature. Click here to go to the Certification page.
Encourage people to submit their names for consideration.
The nomination process is very important this year with the additional election of Deputies & Alternate Deputies to 2012 General Convention and Delegates and Alternate Delegates to Synod of the Province of the Southwest (Province VII). A packet of information was mailed to all Rectors, Vicars, Assistants and Wardens on September 3, 2010. Nominations forms are due back to the diocese by Monday, November 1 – LESS THAN THREE WEEKS! As the Rev. Kevin Dellaria said in the Sept. 3 letter, “…as you encourage people to submit their names for consideration, remind them that their willingness to share their knowledge and skills with the larger Church is essential to the mission and ministry of the Diocese of West Texas. . . Through your prayerful involvement year by year the Diocese of West Texas continues to raise up strong, faithful individuals to lead our Church in its duty to engage the calling of Christ.”
Please help us find those who are called to minister in these leadership capacities.
