6:30 pm – Folklorico Dancers Perform

7:00 pm – Seated Dinner
7:45 pm – Bob Goff Presentation
8:30 pm – Live Music from “Rewind”
9:30 pm – Compline

What a lineup!  This year we begin the evening when the doors of Exhibit Hall B open at 6:00 pm for the reception with a little time to meet new folks and catch up with old friends.  There will be several cash bars (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available, so bring those “greenbacks” as no credit cards accepted.

Don’t be late for the Opening Act as you won’t want to miss these Dancers“small” Folkloric Dancers from our own Episcopal Day School  in
Brownsville on stage at 6:30 pm.  Wearing festive Charro Day costumes (depicting the different states in Mexico), early childhood students will ride in a red wagon parade, fourth and fifth grade students will perform the four folkloric dances, and a contest on the yelling of “El Grito” (a sign of celebration) will be held between three children.

At 7:00 pm our seated dinner is designed to serve as a time of family reunion.  Find a chair with friends and catch up on the latest happenings around the diocese.  The menu includes Baby spinach and strawberry salad, and Herb crusted pork loin, with roasted potato medley and green bean almandine.  For dessert choose Cinnamon bunuelo cannoli or caramel flan!  For those who require a vegetarian entree, an alternative will be available.  Note: During registration indicate any special food needs (Gluten free, vegetarian, etc.)  You will receive a special card to display in front of your place setting at all Council meals.

And what is a council in McAllen without a wonderful Band.  At 8:30 pm sit back and enjoy the sounds of Rewind.  Led by Brent Manning, member of St. Alban’s, Harlingen, this is a 5-piece dance band planning to provide some easy listening music with a couple of Christian hits, country, and disco.  Something for everyone!

It just wouldn’t be Council if we didn’t close our evening with a short Compline service at 9:30 pm.  Don’t miss a minute of this wonderful evening as the good folks of St. Alban’s, Harlingen joyfully welcome us to McAllen.

The cost of the Banquet is included for Clergy, Delegates, Alternates and Clergy Spouses.  For Visitors the cost of the Banquet is $40 and may be purchased at the time of registration.
