Visiting Bishops from the Anglican Diocese of Southeastern Mexico
The Rt. Rev. Benito Juarez-Martinez, Bishop of Southeastern Mexico, brought greetings to the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas on behalf of his churches, clergy, and parishioners. He shared how he had been blessed personally by the years of partnership and fellowship between the two dioceses, ending by saying, “I don’t say goodbye, but see you later. Wherever we are, you and I, our God will always gather us around his table in the Eucharistic service, and we will remain united through him.”
Bishop Benito Juarez-Martinez then introduced his successor, the Rt. Rev. Julio Martín, who greeted the diocese, shared stories from his personal journey to faith, and reflected on how we are all called to “ferociously live out our lives for Christ,” inspired by the 2020 theme verse from Ephesians.
The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas gives thanks for years of partnership with Bishop Martinez and look forward to continuing friendship with Bishop Martín.
