The Rev. John Badders, chair of the Habitat Builders for West Texas, updated Council on the work of the task force. The diocese has been in relationship with Habitat for Humanity for over 25 years.
In 2012, Bishop Lillibridge asked the diocese to build three Habitat homes in six years. Because of the generosity of the diocesan family, the third home (Kerrville) will be dedicated this spring, which will bring the three homes to completion in five years.
A new build in San Antonio will begin on March 31, 2017. The build will be dedicated in thanksgiving for the ministry of Bishop Gary Lillibridge. Visit this site to sign up to volunteer, or contact Curt Mowen, upcoming chair of the Habitat Builders for West Texas.
