The annual Christian Faith in Action Luncheon is open to all registered for Diocesan Council on Thursday, February 18, beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Room 103 in the McAllen Convention Center. Always inspiring, this year’s luncheon will feature Kathy Dittman, a member of St. Alban’s, Harlingen, who will speak on her work with Prevent Child Abuse Texas and the annual Walk to Action that benefits the non-profit organization.
The cost for the luncheon is $25, and you can register here.
Kathy, a veterinarian in Harlingen, and her family have personal experience with the devastating effects of child abuse, as her two-year-old daughter was killed in 1998 by a babysitter. Since this tragedy, Kathy; her husband, Mark; and their son, Matt, have worked diligently hard locally and statewide to prevent child abuse.
Kathy will speak on her experiences and inspire others to join this worthy cause by giving resources and avenues to do just that. Distribute this flyer, if desired.
