Thursday Council Eucharist is over, so now what do we do?

For members of our Mission congregations, the Mission Congregations’ Dinner will immediately follow the Thursday Council Eucharist with 7:30 pm reservations at Brewster Street Ice House (1724 N Tancahua, Corpus Christi, TX 78401, www.brewsterstreet.net). The restaurant is a four-block walk from the AmericanBank Center but a mile back to the Omni Bayfront Hotel.
Delegations from our mission congregations are invited to join with others for an evening of fellowship and good food. For only $18 per person, dinner includes sliced beef brisket, smoked chicken breast, charro beans, potato salad, tortillas, a tea station and peach cobbler served buffet style. We will also have our own server for those interested in a cash bar.
But it just keeps getting better and better! That evening the Ice House is having their “Texas Country Music Night” featuring Roger Creager (http://www.rogercreager.com) w/ Josh Grider presented by 94.7 Badlands FM. The show starts at 9:00 pm. Our friends at Brewster Street have reserved us a place to listen to the music, and we will not have to purchase tickets for the show. We can listen to the bands and visit with each other, staying as long as we like. However, it you wish to see the bands and boogie on the dance floor, the additional cover charge of $17 can be purchased in advance (on the Brewster Street website above) or for $20 at the door. For this fee you can watch the show and dance along into the wee hours of the night.
Although this Council event is billed for mission congregations only, we extend an invitation to smaller delegations that would like to share an evening in community with food, fun and live music. And, of course, the “Texas Country Music Night” show is open to the public so all of Council should come on down.
