It’s a Family Reunion. Time to Mix and Mingle!
Never leaving the comfort of the hotel, you will enjoy this year’s banquet in the same location as Friday Bishops’ Luncheon and the Council Eucharist on Saturday, the Veramendi Ballroom near the walkway to the hotel. We begin the evening with a reception in the exhibit area outside the ballroom. You can expect several of the exhibits to remain open late for your browsing enjoyment. There will be several cash bars available, so bring those “greenbacks” as no credit cards accepted.
The cost of the Banquet is included for Clergy, Delegates, Alternates and Clergy Spouses. For Visitors the cost of the Banquet is $40 and may be purchased at the time of registration.
At 7:00 pm the ballroom doors will open for our seated dinner. The menu includes Texas field greens with red grapes, spiced pecans, goat cheese, and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette or ranch dressing; a due of Herb Seared Filet of Salmon with Poblano Hollandaise Sauce & Sirloin Medallions with a Shitake Burgundy Reduction; Au Gratin Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus. And for dessert – Italian Cream Cake! For those who require a vegetarian entree, an alternative will be available. Note: During registration indicate any special food needs (Gluten free, vegetarian, etc.) You will received a special card to display in front of your place setting at all Council meals.
This seated affair is designed to serve as a time of family reunion with background music set to “conversation” level. Find a chair with friends and enjoy a relaxed evening to catch up on the latest happenings around the diocese.
