 Letter from Christ Episcopal Church Registration Committee

Dear Clergy and Administrators of West Texas,

Christ Episcopal Church, San Antonio is delighted to host the 2008 annual Council of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas at the Municipal Auditorium.  Council begins on Thursday, February 21st and continues through Saturday, February 23rd.

 Registration should be done online.  Registration is now open.  Payment can be made by check or credit card.  If paying by check simply print the transaction summary of all registrations and mail with your payment to the address shown in the box below.  Only visitors may register on-site at the Municipal Auditorium.

This year we have five (5) registration forms.

  1. "Church Registration" for Clergy, Delegates, Alternates and Clergy Spouses.
  2. "Individual Registration" for Visitors, Volunteers and Diocesan Staff
  3. "Nursery Registration" for each child attending
  4. "Youth In Action 2008 Registration" for the Council youth mission trip grades 9-12
  5. "Youth In Action 2008 Sponsor Registration" for each sponsor attending (1 to 6 ratio)

Registration fees for the 2008 Council are as follows:

Clergy, delegates, and alternates (includes Banquet and Friday Box Lunch) $110
Clergy spouses (includes Banquet and Friday Box Lunch) $70
Visitors (includes Friday Lunch but NO banquet ticket) $35
Extra Banquet ticket $35
Volunteers, and Staff (Please see registration form) ---
Youth In Action participants and Youth Sponsors $20

 Enclosed is a worksheet (and "how to" instructions) for use in gathering the information you will need for each adult registrant. For churches, all registrants may be entered online at one time by pressing the "ADD ANOTHER REGISTRATION" button in Step 3.  Please register at your earliest opportunity. The final deadline for registration is February 13, 2008.

Sign up First

  1. At https://www.sporg.com/Ind/IndAgreement.jsp create a user Login ID and Password.

  2. First you will go to the Registration Agreement.  Click on "I ACCEPT" and you will be taken to the "USER PROFILE" page.

  3. You may complete the minimum information of Login, Password, first and last name, and e-mail.

  4. You can now use this login for all diocesan registrations using Sporg.

Before You Start:

  1.  Determine if any registrant needs childcare.

  2.  Determine which luncheon(s) each person would like to attend.

  3. Complete a worksheet for each person attending Council

  4. Before you start registration, read the online instructions to create a "USER PROFILE."

Next:

Click the link to "Council 2008" Follow Me logo and then "Enter this Website Now" or "Online Registration"
Click on the type of registrant to proceed to online registration and the "Sign Up" button

There are four steps (screens) during the online registration process:

Step 1 Registration = input the proper information (Caution - if there is no activity on this screen for more than 30 minutes the information will be lost.)

Step 2 Confirmation = check all info, make changes using "Edit" button, if correct "Add to Cart"

Step 3 Check Out = view registrants in cart, add another registration or select payment method

Step 4 Approval = Receipt summarizing transaction plus details on each registrant 

Step 1:

Complete Step 1 by typing the information from the worksheet or clicking on the appropriate choice.  You may move between categories by using the "tab" key or the mouse.  Do NOT use the browser "back" button, but rather the registration form's buttons at the bottom.   Any fields marked with a red (*) are required, and you will be unable to continue if the red (*) field is empty.  Especially note the red (*) required check box in the gray disclaimer section at the bottom of step 1.

Step 2:

After confirming information in Step 2 by clicking "Add to Cart," press the "ADD ANOTHER REGISTRATION" button to begin the second registration.  The next screen shows all available event registration types.  Select the correct Event (Church Registration, Individual Registration or Nursery Registration).  Repeat this process for each registrant.  Should anyone need childcare or nursery services, please see that a separate nursery form is completed.

Step 3:

When you have filled out the forms for your entire delegation, select the method of payment (Visa, MasterCard or Check/Cash) in Step 3 and click on "Complete Now."  Unless you have created a login and password (see #2 below), you cannot change your submission after this - you will have to e-mail or call Page or Craig Wilson and give them any changes.

Step 4:

The system will generate an invoice that totals all fees due.  If paying by check, send a copy of the invoice and payment to the address provided as soon as possible to help fund the Council functions.  Use caution when printing the "TRANSACTION APPROVED" page as it includes all the detail for every registrant and may be several pages long.  Instead of pressing the print button within the page, use your browser's print preview button first.  Determine the pages you actually want and print only those pages.

 IMPORTANT -

1.       If a registrant does not have an email address, you MUST enter none@dwtx.org in this field.

2.       If you start the registration process but can't finish, click on "Save for Later" at the bottom left of the form in Step 3 (Check Out).  You will be instructed to create a new user profile with a Login and password.  The registration e-mail address will receive an automatic message from SPORG with a link to return to the registration process.  You can also return to "MY SPORG HOME' page by going directly to https://www.sporg.com/login.jsp to enter your Login and password.
